22nd–24th January 2027
Join us at Sligo Park Hotel for the 32nd Yeats Winter School, a weekend of literature, poetry, music, discussion and exploration in the landscape that inspired W.B. Yeats.
Directed by Dr Adrian Paterson, this year’s Winter School welcomes guest speakers Melinda Szuts and Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin for a programme exploring Yeats’s poetry, plays and prose, alongside the wider creative world of Yeats and his family.
Set in the heart of Yeats Country, the weekend offers the chance to enjoy engaging lectures, poetry readings, a tour of Sligo’s literary landscape and relaxed evenings of music, storytelling and conversation.
Over three days, enjoy a programme of talks and readings at Sligo Park Hotel, discover the landscapes and places associated with Yeats, and spend time exploring Sligo at your own pace.
The programme includes a guided tour of Yeats Country, a visit to the Yeats Building, poetry, music and opportunities to share literary experiences with fellow attendees.
